Joseph R. Ferrari, Ph.D. adalah salah satu penulis buku Procrastination and task Avoidance, Theory, Research and Treathment, yang diterbitkan oleh Plenum Press, New York. Pada tahun 2003 hingga saat ini, beliau berkontribusi di DePaul University, Chicago, IL, sebagai Professor of Psychology.
Setelah mengenyam pendidikan di Adelphi University, Garden City, New York (1989), jurusan Experimental (Social/Personality) Psychology, beliau lulus dengan gelar Ph.D.
